Dr Henry Toi is the Director and Master Trainer of Thrive Consulting. He graduated with honours in Civil Engineering from the National University of Singapore and a Masters of Education from the RMIT University in Melbourne. He also graduated with a Doctor of Business Administration from the Australian Institute of Business, Adelaide.

Henry obtained the Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment from the WDA. He has authored several award wining books. His latest book “Think to Thrive, Re-engineering Your Mind For Growth” was awarded The Golden Door Awards – REX Karmaveer Medal in Jan 2020. He also published the “Habits of S.U.C.C.E.S.S.” in 2005, and educational materials Phonics Zoo in 1998 which garnered the Parents Choice award. In terms of innovation, he created a psychometric tool called The Habits of Mind Assessment Scales (THOMAS) that is used internationally to assess thinking dispositions of adults and students.

Henry is certified to deliver international programmes including ThinkBuzan’s Mind Map and GRASP courses, Memory, Speed Reading, Creativity, Habits of Mind, Multiple Intelligences Developmental Assessment Scales and Guerrilla Marketing. He was appointed as one of only four Master Trainers globally by Prof Tony Buzan in 2005 and was also appointed as affiliate director of the Institute for the Habits of Mind in the same year. During his corporate career, he had served the Singapore Government (Monetary Authority of Singapore), Shell Petroleum, Standard Chartered Bank and the OCBC Asset Management. Henry carries out research in the field of thinking and presents regularly in international conferences in the area of critical and creative thinking.

He has experience consulting at the C-Suite level for business go-to-market projects in Singapore, Malaysia, India, Korea, Hong Kong, China and Japan. His clients included various Governments and Multi-National-Corporations. He was a frequent speaker at various international seminars and workshops.
