The PEARL approach to a Thriving Organization

At Think-to-Thrive Consulting, we see Transformational Change as a deliberate paradigm shifting journey undertaken by an organisation that radically steers itself from its current trajectory. It can manifest metaphorically like how a caterpillar metamorphises into a butterfly and at its core, Transformation alters an organisation in terms of vision, systemic structures and culture. Once the core values and purpose of the desired transformational organisation has been established through a clearly articulated Transformational Agenda, the organisation will need to marshal its resources as it seeks to be a Thriving Organisation. Using the PEARL model, the Thriving Organisation is defined by having the 3 characteristics below:

1. Learning Organisation,

2. Intelligent organisation

3. Coaching-Centric Organisation

To effect sustainable transformational changes, these three attributes must be made manifest in the organisation’s strategic design and blueprint. Workplace Coaching is one way to activate motivation, conviction towards autonomous actions at an individual level, and across teams at the enterprise level. The PEARLS Coaching Framework and the Fiends & Hero Model described in the book Think.Coach.Thrive provide an overarching frame to lead transformational change.

“The authors provide a different take to business transformation from the usual books on the subject: coaching with a model to boot. They do an excellent job of showing how it can be done in several bite-sized chapters.”

Willie Cheng, Former Chairman, Singapore Institute of Directors

Organization Challenges in a VUCAH Age

In a rapidly evolving Volative, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous and Hyper-Connected (VUCAH) age – not least exacerbated by CoVid-19, Organisations have to stay agile and innovative. In order to actualize this at the workplace, leaders must be empowered and in turn empower those under their charge. On the surface this seems like a simple enough strategy but in reality, there are many barriers and when organisations implement these strategies, they fail to achieve the desired outcome.  Some of the key challenges faced include poor situational judgement, entrenched culture that works against the new ideas, fear of failure, skepticism and lack of senior leadership support. At Think-To-Thrive Consulting, we have a range of tested methodologies to help companies transform and become Thriving Organisations. Contact us for a discovery session today.
